Planned international business visit:
Tokyo Stock Exchange: The TSE is located in Tokyo, Japan and is the second largest stock exchange in the world by aggregate market capitalization of its listed companies, second only to the New York Stock Exchange. The program will visit TSE to tour the facility and experience TSE operations.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce: The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations. The program will visit the chamber and participate in the chamber’s briefing to understand opportunities and challenges of American businesses in Japan.
(Tentative) Dow Corning Japan: Dow Corning is a multinational corporation headquartered in Midland, Michigan, USA. Dow Corning specializes in silicon and silicone-based technology, offering more than 7,000 products and services. Dow Corning is an equally-owned joint venture of Dow Chemical and Corning. The program will visit Dow Corning’s headquarter in Michigan before the trip to Japan and again visit its operations in Tokyo to experience first-hand how a multi-national company functions and operates in the world market.
(Tentative) Panasonic: Panasonic is a Japanese multinational corporation headquartered in Kadoma, Osaka, Japan. Its main business is in electronics manufacturing and it produces products under a variety of names including Panasonic and Technics. The program will visit the company’s manufacturing facility in Shiga, Japan.
Giant Bicycle: Giant is one of elite bicycle designer/manufacturers in the world. Founded by a farmer in central Taiwan, Giant has successfully transformed itself from a manufacturer for Schwinn to a elite bicycle-making company with its own brand.
